The big adventure is really happening!
As some of you may know the big adventure is now all booked and I’m getting ready to go!
We’re taking 2.5 months off from October this year to drive our beloved 80’s series Toyota Landcruiser (‘Penelope’…as in, Penelope Cruiser!) through Botswana and Namibia.
I am beyond excited – I 100% adore the work that I do with all of my clients, AND I adore adventures and new experiences. This is not about escaping my work or my life, but enriching and expanding it.
As you might imagine, there is a LOT of preparation that goes into such a trip (making these things happen can take years) and I’m talking mental preparation, not simply logistics.
It has required a great deal of belief; of surrounding myself with the right, helpful influences and perspectives (including groups like this!); and, crucially, immersing myself in thoughts and beliefs of possibility, opportunity, potential and excitement – and drowning out the noises and voices of fear, scarcity and lack (not always an easy task at all for so many of us).
Many years ago, I adventured across the Australian outback in an old 4x4 Patrol for four months and did a lot of other trips in that vehicle in Australia, and I have been desperate to do something similar since then.
So - keep dreaming and keep working towards that dream, however big or small - it doesn’t matter how long it takes you to do it: “the timeline can shift, the goal mustn’t be sacrificed”.
This has been at least 11 years in the dreaming.
I will be sharing blog posts, pictures and videos about the trip over the next few months as well as the usual success tips and thoughts. I hope that you’ll stay with us and possibly find inspiration for your next dream, adventure, project or big work move.
And if you want help with bringing your dreams to life, you know where I am – I’m taking calls now with people who want to explore joining my waiting list for working together when I return to work in December.
Keep dreaming – and, more importantly, keep taking action towards those dreams – you CAN make them happen.
