I really didn't think I needed a coach before I had the fortune of working with Charlotte on a professional basis. When Charlotte offered me her services I thought, perhaps a bit arrogantly, 'how on earth could a life coach possibly help me?'.
I'm the type of person who is known for getting the job done and personal development is really important to me. I like to think I have had a degree of success in what I have achieved so far and I believe I have the potential to do a lot more.
However, there are things in my life I want to get on top of, to break bad habits and to an extent take back control. With all the demands of being a career-driven working parent, I kind of felt like I was on a hamster wheel - I could see a way out but I wasn't sure how to get there...
Thank goodness I started working with Charlotte. Her coaching has really helped me by asking really pertinent questions at the right time and by drawing answers out of me that I didn't know I already knew the answer to. She's helped me to visualise what I really want and helped set me tasks to help me get there. She listens, she challenges in a good way, and I feel she really understands me. I know what we discuss is in absolute confidence and it's good to have someone who is remote to my day to day life. I have been able to take many topics to Charlotte that have been playing on my mind and each time have come away from our conversation invigorated. It's a bit like a much-needed power surge to re-charge my battery.
So from initially being quite cynical at the outset to where I am now, I'm a coach convert! As Charlotte says even a coach needs a coach! Moving forward I'm really looking forward to working with Charlotte in helping me with both my life in general and career journey.
