I admit it - I was wrong!

Here’s one of the many ways I have been wrong…

Today my day started in the UK sea. In just a swimming costume. In October. At 6:50am. (With a group of wonderful people).

BUT...I used to think that these people were nutters. As I HATE being cold, I refused to believe that cold water swimming was everything that people banged on about.

Then, last year, I thought “why not test myself? I’m constantly helping my clients to step outside their comfort zone, so I will try and follow suit, here”.

(Also, I was convinced that I’d hate it, then I could say that I tried it, then never do it again 😜)

Well, ha! It is INCREDIBLE. I feel exhilarated, alive and fun of energy afterwards. And, since I moved down to the coast recently, I thought I could give swimming though the winter a proper go. And now I’ll happily admit that I was 100% wrong 🙋🏼‍♀️

It was WAY outside my comfort zone, but it’s SO important to challenge our beliefs about ourselves and things we hold to be ‘true’. I wanted to continue to be brave, and to test what I thought I knew about myself.

You never know what you can accomplish or gain if you keep edging outside your comfort zone, and risk being ‘wrong’.

So, what do you REALLY want to do, be or have? When you need help being brave enough to take those steps - contact me. (I promise you don’t HAVE to go swimming in cold water, our sessions are usually via Zoom!)
